CAE Rive-Nord’s record investment

At its annual general meeting on June 14, 2017 at the Pôle universitaire Paul-Gérin Lajoie, Director General of CAE Rive-Nord, Mrs. Renée Courchesne, proudly presented the 2016-2017 annual results.

Over the past year, CAE Rive-Nord has contributed a record amount of $4,835,000 (since its founding in 1984) through its investment fund, in order to contribute to the completion of 30 company projects. These projects generated investments of nearly $24M and have affected 169 jobs.

Since its creation, over $50M has been invested by CAE Rive-Nord in companies of its territory through its regular fund, which corresponds to 33 times the capitalization injected by the federal government at the outset.

nouveaux-clients_anglaisIn addition to business consulting, 2016-2017 is a  series of new projects, alone or with valuable partners in economic development: industrial symbiosis, carbon exchange, start-up assistance,  support program for small business.

The Forum Planèt’ÈRE, the Créativité et Innovation Laurentides training, FEU, company internships, and active participation with SADC and CAE networks in different stages of modernization of the Community Development Program.

Mrs. Courchesne took the opportunity to remind participants that, contrary to what is commonly conveyed, the CAE can intervene at all stages of business life:

“For a start-up, expansion, acquisition, succession, innovation, marketing project, I invite you to come and meet us. There are companies who have been using our services for more than 30 years and some, present here today, can attest to difference that CAE assistance has made in their company.”

In addition, Mrs. Courchesne indicates that CAE Rive-Nord has specific tools to support projects related to Integration of information technologies (e-commerce), innovation, clean technologies and sustainable development, as well as to succession.

These encouraging results come from inspiring teamwork and Mrs. Courchesne wanted to present each of her colleagues: Marie-Pierre Guindon, Director of Business Development, Odette D’Astous, Financial Services Agent, Emanuela D’Elia, Business Counsellor and Marie-Claude Lavoie, Project Manager.

208-demande-danalyse_anglaisFinally, at the level of the presidency, Mrs. Ginette Aubry, informed participants that she will be stepping aside after a six-year mandate with the organization. Sincere thanks and praise was offered, mainly for taking charge of the comprehensive governance review, which was done constructively and responsibly for the benefit of CAE Rive-Nord and for the overall update of the organization through establishment of human resources, financing, ethics and other ad hoc committees, making it possible to increase the efficiency and harmonization of procedures, policies and skills.

Mrs. Josée Courville, General Director of the Chambre immobilière des Laurentides, was unanimously elected to henceforth assume the presidency of CAE Rive-Nord.  Mrs. Courville has already expressed the desire to guide the organization towards the innovative firm and sustainable development.
